I've been a really bad blogger lately. I'm thinking this Twitter thing will enable me to be much more responsive, and it's so easy (via IM, or my phone) I really have no excuse. I'm having fun with it. It's neat.
So I blazed through the Battlestar Galactica (I like my title better, Battlebutt Galactypants) Season 3 DVDs in less than a week.
There is a WHOLE LOT OF AWESOME in them thar discs. Unlike some shows like LOST, which was unbelievably amazing right out of the gate, and has since had its ups and downs - BG started off at "really good" and with each season it has kept getting better and better and better. I had been keeping a strict policy of "wait for the DVDs" with this show, so last year when Season 3 was airing and available for download on iTunes, I resisted.
After the Season 3 finale, I decided that, as I have with this season's LOST, I'll just go ahead and download the Season 4 eps as they come out.
Turns out that iTunes doesn't have Sci-Fi network shows anymore. Why? Because Sci Fi network is owned by NBC, which recently threw a hissy fit and pulled all of their content from iTunes.
AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHGGGGGHHHHH!!!!
Yes, I can go to the Sci Fi site and watch the new eps on my computer.
I DON'T WANT TO WATCH SHOWS ON MY COMPUTER. I WANT TO WATCH THEM ON MY BIG TV!
Which is what I do with all the other shows I get from iTunes (I don't have cable). Load up the video iPod, plug it into my TV, boom.
Looks like I'm going to have to wait for the Season 4 DVDs after all. And since I hear that Season 4 doesn't end until 2009, it's going to be at least another year.
