So we (that is, my band Half Zaftig and I) recently spent a few hours with Darin Di Pietro, who you may know has engineered every Wonky release since Any Raw Flesh?, shooting a music video for one of the songs on Life Like Luster, "Handbasket."
Darin has been a photographer for longer than he's been an engineer, and he's getting heavily into digital video now. He told us he's been wanting to make a video for this song since he first heard it - and so now he has.
Here's a link to the super-bitchen Quicktime version. It a hefty download, but the quality is worth it. More manageable versions on YouTube and MySpace video to follow soon.
All kudos due to Darin on this one. He told us where to stand, what to wear, what to do, and then he made this thing out of it.
UPDATE: as promised, there is now a YouTube version. It goes without saying that the Quicktime version looks a lot nicer, is in stereo (vs. YouTube in mono), etc. BUT, YouTube is a lot easier to do a quick drive-by view, I know.
UPDATE #2: Darin asked me to link to the MySpace version of this as well, since their compression ration is better than YouTube's (and the audio is in stereo).
